Infertility is a condition in which a couple does not achieve pregnancy within
12 - 18 months of regular, normal intercourse or is unable to carry a child to
live birth. This condition effects approximately 10% - 15% of the married
American population and the infertility rate is rising. Infertility is a
couples problem and both the husband and the wife should be involved in the
entire evaluation process. From a biological perspective, we find only a
female condition effecting infertility 30% of the time, only a male condition
30% of the time, and a combination of male and female factors 40% of the time.
OB GYN Associates provides comprehensive evaluation for infertility and treatment options consisting of education, ovulation induction, laparoscopic and other surgical treatments, intrauterine insemination, and tubal reversal. We have a close relationship with several reproductive endocrinology groups that offer in vitro fertilization as well. We also provide assistance to facilitate adoption. |
